The School Support Services Division provides service based upon the North Carolina Virtual Public School's comprehensive plan.

It is our mission to educate and inform all partners and stakeholders about the NCVPS operational guidelines and policies to better prepare students for their virtual learning experience. They will also develop leadership capacity to align NCVPS and 21st century goals into with schools’ and districts’ work to meet the State Board of Education’s “Future Ready Goals” (pdf, 27kb).

NCVPS inquiries should be directed to the appropriate Virtual Learning Consultant who oversees each county. Regional assignments are identified here.

SSS provides assistance and consultation to a broad range of people, including:
  • Central office e-learning coordinators (ELCs) and school-based e-learning advisors (ELAs), including those from traditional school districts, charter schools and federal Department of Defense (DOD) schools
  • Students and parents
  • School and central office administration
  • Overall NCVPS staff and the NCDPI staff and administration

E-learning Advisors and NCVPS Instructors:

We are seeking nominations for GenerationText Super Users! These are students who have mastered Web2.0 skills. They are very adept at all things Internet. Computer shortcuts are easy for them. PowerPoint, no problem. Video mixing, easy. Networking, second nature. Online, all the time. They've earned the names of Digital Natives and Screenagers and GenerationText.
